I might be the only one but I’m getting a little tired, maybe even bored, of Lady Gaga. Don’t get me wrong, her music is pretty awesome and her voice is amazing…but the outfits? I’m just not sure I can cope with them much longer!
I think the need to shock people and the desperation to be some kind of crazy style icon has gone a little bit too far. Let’s hope she’s not still channelling a cross between Madonna and Cher when she’s 60.

Part of me (I wouldn’t usually find the misfortune of others entertaining) was the tiniest bit smug when Gaga took a Naomi Campbell-esque tumble at Heathrow airport in her ridiculously huge platforms yesterday.
Sometimes it’s good to be bought back down to earth!

I’ll be the first to admit that this World Cup stuff is something I could care less about. However, many people are fans – not because of their love for the game of eve their loyalty to their country. Most of these fair-weather fans have one thing in mind – booze.
This morning, as I cherished my first day of summer break, my phone was sending me World Cup vibrations in the form of a male friend. It was 8:45 a.m. and he was inviting me to a bar to watch the U.S.A. World Cup game.
My first thought was how, eight hours ago, I had chugged my last Miller Lite. Then, I wondered what kind of operation bars were running if they were open at 9 a.m. And, would they be serving bacon with that beer?
I declined my pal’s request – it’s discount day at the laundry mat after all. Plus, I prefer my morning coffee with cream, not vodka. However, it is nice to know that occasionally, beer can still replace my morning coffee without making me feel like a drunk college student. Adulthood does have its perks (and most of them still include drinking!)
